Overview

As part of an EPA-approved Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG ) program, CSi’s FOG Information Management System - FOG IMS - is the most effective tool on the market for helping wastewater utilities manage FOG compliance and enforcement.

CSi built FOG IMS from the ground up to serve the needs of forward thinking utilities. FOG IMS is a web-based solution, combining the clean functionality of a web interface with the raw management power of SQL data storage.

Food Service Facilities Data

FOG IMS features a searchable Food Service Facility (FSF) information interface, which allows for easy setup and retrieval of FSF information and associated FOG compliance data. Data tracked for each FSF includes:

  • Customer Contact Information and History
  • Customer Contract Details
  • Inspection and Sampling Schedules
  • Enforcement Actions Taken
  • FOG Compliance Action Plan

FOG Program Data

FOG IMS is built to allow the FOG manager to establish, track, and modify the FOG program fees and fines structure. An integrated document management tool allows FOG IMS users to upload and store relevant office documents such as signed contracts and utility correspondence, in a wide array of formats. The document management tool allows archiving of important documents in one location, in turn allowing for secure backup and fast information retrieval.

Sampling and Inspections

FOG IMS’s sampling interface enables FOG managers to establish and monitor schedules for both sampling events and FSF inspections. A fully-configurable search interface provides fast retrieval of search results based on FSF, laboratory used, or sampling date range.

Tablet PC Field Application

With the integrated FOG IMS tablet PC application, FOG inspectors can record details and results directly in the field. The tablet PC’s inspection checklist allows FOG inspectors to record compliance information such as grease trap maintenance data. The electronic signature feature allows inspectors to get customer sign-off on the spot. And with an optional portable printer, the FOG inspector can print inspection reports, complete with any fee or fine assessments, for instant customer feedback.

Back in the office, the inspectors’ tablet PCs are synced to the FOG IMS, instantaneously updating the system with current FSF and inspection data. The FOG IMS’s field application provides real-time customer feedback on compliance and enforcement issues, while eliminating office data entry tasks and re-entry errors.
